Gate Ventures, the venture capital arm of Gate.io, and The Blockchain Centre in Abu Dhabi, brand new global hub for Web3 technologies, have announced the launch of $100 million Falcon Gate Ventures fund to invest in global blockchain innovation.

The new Web3 venture firm is focused on backing builders from the US, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The new fund seeks to foster the global growth of the Web3 ecosystem by providing support for high-potential projects worldwide and investing in education and research initiatives to build a skilled workforce.

Falcon Gate Ventures will collaborate with global regulators to develop a framework that fosters innovation whilst ensuring user protection. The initiative reinforces the UAE’s position as a central hub in the international digital economy.

Together, they can create a powerful synergy that will drive forward our mission to support and scale high-potential blockchain projects, he said.

“Gate Ventures shares our commitment to fostering cutting-edge technologies, and with their global network and insights, we are confident that this partnership will accelerate the adoption and impact of blockchain innovations, both in the UAE and internationally,” Al Dhaheri added.

The two entities said that Falcon Gate Ventures is not only a financial commitment but a strategic endeavour bringing diversified resources to foster Web3 founders with global aspirations. Leveraging the extensive network and expertise of both Gate Ventures and the Blockchain Center, Falcon Gate Ventures will seek to discover and support projects poised to shape the future of blockchain technology and digital assets.
