The World Government Summit in Dubai in 2022 to bring together major cryptocurrency players

The World Government Summit, which will take place on March 29 and 30 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in the heart of Expo 2020 Dubai, will debate sustainability, health care, and economic recovery following the pandemic. Leaders and senior officials from 190 different countries will be there.

The World Government Summit is an annual event held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It brings together leaders in government for a global dialogue on key topics, challenges, and opportunities that shape the future of governments.

UAE’s Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, Omar Sultan Al Olama, said that one of the main discussions of the summit is what challenges and opportunities public and private sectors will see over the next 10 years.

Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE’s Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, said the Digital Assets Forum will be launched for the first time at the World Government Summit. It will explore global trends to establish a system to regulate digital currencies and adopt blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.

He informed Khaleej Times in an interview on the sidelines of a press convention held to announce the agenda of the upcoming World Government Summit and it makes the summit different that both private sector leaders in cryptocurrency space, as well as government regulators, can be in an open dialogue because the current gap that exists is that regulators are not talking with the actual (cryptocurrency) leaders working in the private space to see where the opportunities are.

He added “The only way to bridge the gap and to overcome challenges is to make use of the opportunities to ensure we have an open dialogue and see where the common ground exists between the two players and how to put first regulations and the first step to move forward,”

The Discussion was attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology. UAE Special Envoy for Climate Change; Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy; Ohood Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development & the Future and Vice Chairwoman of WGS; Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrui, UAE Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Vice-Chair of the Arab Youth Center; and Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and Director of the WGS Foundation Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed.
