Digital Dubai sign MoU to enable Government Entities Manage Integration Capabilities

Digital Dubai has forged a strategic partnership with global technology leader Software AG, and regional implementation partner Palmira Software House to offer the Dubai Integration Platform as a Service (Dubai iPaaS) framework across Dubai Government Entities to provide a tailored and cost-effective solution for their integration needs.

The partnership represents a significant step towards Dubai’s Digital City goals and aligns well with the UAE Digital Government Strategy 2025, which emphasises the integration of digital aspects into government strategies. It will also provide the government entities with cost-effective access to a secure, integrated framework, that boosts agility and ensures consistent performance.

The announcement was made during an MoU signing ceremony at GITEX Global 2023 between Matar AlHemeiri, Chief Executive, Digital Dubai Government Establishment, one of the entities under the Digital Dubai umbrella; Rami Kichli, Senior Vice President, Middle East and Turkey, Software AG, and Jamal AlMahamid, CEO, Palmira Software House LLC.

With the introduction of this advanced iPaaS framework, Dubai government’s entities will gain independence and control over their integration processes. This empowerment over their data enables them to efficiently address their integration requirements, marking a significant enhancement in their digital capabilities.

Powerful Tool                

Dubai iPaaS framework, is a flexible unified offering, pioneered by Digital Dubai, which plays a central role in advancing Dubai’s digital city aspirations. In alignment with these goals, Digital Dubai’s primary mission is to create seamless and accessible digital pathways for resident and visitors, thereby contributing to Dubai’s stature in the digital economy.

Matar AlHemeiri said that their stated mission, at Digital Dubai, is to digitalise every aspect of life for Dubai’s citizens, residents, and visitors, cementing the emirate’s reputation as a pioneer in digital transformation and digital city applications.

“Dubai iPaaS is a powerful tool that plays a critical role in achieving these ambitious objectives, as it allows for seamless and easy-to-build integrations among all government entities. It also offers enhanced security, access control, a dedicated threat-protection layer, and centralized governance, among many other features, and the agreement we have signed with Software AG & Palmira truly sets the stage for us to take the system to the next level.”
