Walkers Crisps is experiencing a snack shortage

After UK consumers faced a shortage of milk, fuel, and toilet paper now, it’s Walkers Crisps that are missing from the supermarket shelves. However, this time its cause is a computer glitch and not a shortage of HGV drivers.
Walkers is a British snack food manufacturer known for potato crisps and other snack foods. Walkers were founded by Henry walker in 1984 in Leicester England. It mainly operates in the UK and Ireland.
Its parent company, PepsiCo, declined to comment on how the IT system issues resulted in the shortage of products.
A Walker spokesperson said that a recent IT system upgrade has disrupted the supply of some of their products. He also that their sites are still making crisps and snacks but at a reduced scale.
He went on to say that they are doing everything they can to expand production and get people’s favorites back on stores and that they are deeply sorry for any trouble this has caused.
Their normal full factory production is expected to resume at end of November.
