By 2024, the RTA plans to unify booking for all types of transportation

Meera Al-Shaikh, director, smart services, RTA revealed that by 2024 The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) plans to unify booking and ticketing for all modes of transport in Dubai. This was revealed on the opening day of the Mena Transport Congress and Exhibition 2022.

He said the authority will partner with the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) to develop better urban mobility and have better mobility

She said that the authority will work on a stage-wise road map to improve mobility in the city.

Multiple modes of transport are being offered by different players, such as Careem, Udrive, Uber, Ekar, and others, in 2023-24 for all modes of transport unified ticketing will be introduced.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, on Sunday opened the three-day Mena Transport Congress and Exhibition 2022 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

He said the authority will partner with the International Association of Public Transport (UITP) to develop better urban mobility and have better mobility. The unified regulations will also be announced in 2023-24.
