Zoho to invest $27.2 million for expansion in UAE

On the occasion of Zoho’s annual user conference of the company, Zoholics Dubai, Zoho’s CEO and co-founder, Sridhar Vembu, announced its plans for a massive $27.2 million expansion in the UAE.

He also said that in the five years since starting its operations in the country which serves as its Middle East and Africa headquarters, the firm has seen a growth of over 10 times with a 5-year CAGR of 60%.

In 2022, the company saw a 45% growth in the UAE, the second highest growing country globally, which led to the doubling of its employee base in the country and the MEA region by hiring locally as per its ‘transnational localism’ policy of being locally implanted while being globally connected. Also, the partner network in the country grew by 50 per cent in 2022.

Sridhar Vembu said that the company has been investing in local hiring, growing our partner network, adding Arabic support to the company’s products, and merging with local payment gateways to adapt solutions for the local market.

He added that the company will continue to invest in growth in the country through hiring, upskilling programmes, localisation of products, integrating solutions with local vendors, and partnering with organisations to assist local businesses in their digitalisation steps.
